More often than not these days, we’re chasing a sense of nostalgia. With the entire human race having gone through what has been undisputedly one of the most alienating and fearful periods in the history of this form of civilization, there’s a constant craving and simultaneous grieving for what we’ve lost.

For Anatomy Class singer-songwriter, Ant Rosen, that nostalgia for a life once lived is two-fold. Since the release of the band’s debut album Tell Me What You See in 2016, his life completely metamorphosed from gigging around the live haunts of Sydney with bandmates Nick Kennedy and Danny Yau, to relocating back to his hometown of Melbourne and starting a family.

The juxtaposition between those two new worlds – one filled with love, joy and possibility; the other filled with anxiety and existential dread at the state of the globe – permeates the band’s long awaited return in new single, ‘Welcome To The Ages.’

Anatomy Class has always worn its ’80s and ’90s influences on its proverbial sleeves – from the classic sounds of Lemonheads, Swervedriver and Pixies – through to the more modern day acts like Doves, The War On Drugs and DIIV.

Formed in late 2014, Anatomy Class have been regulars on the Sydney live scene, bringing their unique blend of high energy indie-rock. Killer hooks, soaring melodies, driving bass and pounding beats, delivered with a sound and emotion that is unmistakably their own.

Featuring members of well known east-coast indie-rock outfits, Anatomy Class released its debut album, ‘Tell Me What You See’, in late 2016. Recording of the album was completed with renowned Australian producer Wayne Connolly (Boy & Bear, The Vines, You Am I, Youth Group) at the iconic Alberts Studios, and upon release the album was named 'Album Of the Week' in revered Sydney street press, 'The Brag'. The lead singles ‘Lost & Thinking’ and ‘Guillotine’ have been well received on national radio.

The band has been back in studio working on album #2, at Melbourne's famous Birdland Studios. The album is due for release in late 2021.
